典海平台是爱如生经过近3年的研发，于2017年推出的新一代网络服务平台， 典海平台的主要目标是集中管理20个爱如生大型数据库，并提供以下新功能，使各数据库的使用价值倍增：

爱如生于2018年初宣布，凡在2018年底以前申请开通典海平台的，其已购数据库及以后再购续集，一律免除服务费。未能在2018年底以前申请开通典海平台的，及2018年以后的新用户，如要享受爱如生典海平台的超值服务，则需要交纳每库每年3600元的服务费。比起典海平台的超值服务给使用者带来的好处，每库每年3600元的服务费堪称物有所值；而抓住免费的良机申请开通爱如生典海平台的30多个机构，既为单位节省了经费，又让本单位的使用者提前享受超值服务，更是一举两得。

39 Institutional Users Enjoy Value Services of Dianhai Platform

By the end of December 31, 2018, thirty nine institutional users have applied for the value services of the Erudition Dianhai Platform.

Dianhai Platform is a new generation of network service platform launched by Erudition in 2017 after nearly three years of research and development. The main goal of Dianhai Platform is to centralize the management of 20 large databases of Erudition, and provides the following new functions, so as to extend the use value of the databases:

1. Cross-database retrieval

2. Multi-window on the Same Screen

3. Applicable to all operating systems (Microsoft, Apple, etc.), main browsers (Google, IE, etc.) and popular terminals (desktop, tablet, etc.)

4. Open up to unlimited number of concurrent users

Erudition announced in early 2018 that all those who apply for the opening of the Dianhai Platform before the end of 2018 will be exempted from service fees for those purchased databases and sequels they buy later. Those who fail to apply for the opening of the platform before the end of 2018 and new users after 2018 will have to pay service fee of 3,600 yuan per database per year if they want to enjoy the value services of the platform. Compared with the benefits brought to users by the value services of Dianhai Platform, the service fee of 3,600 yuan per database per year is cost-effective; as for more than 30 institutions seizing the opportunity to apply for the opening of the platform, it not only saves the institutions’ funds, but also enables users to enjoy the value services in advance, which is a double benefit.
