时至2017年中，爱如生数字产品喜讯频传：日前，美国名校斯坦福大学下单，购入爱如生晚清民国大报库远程版。此前，斯坦福大学已先后购入爱如生中国基本古籍库、中国方志库初集二集和中国俗文库初集，加上此次购入的爱如生晚清民国大报库，斯坦福大学拥有的爱如生数字产品已达4库5集。

爱如生晚清民国大报库共收录20种大报，分2辑出版。目前出版的第1辑收录申报、大公报、益世报、民国日报、顺天时报、晨报晨钟报、京报、中央日报、红色中华新中华报和新华日报共10种，时间跨度从1872-1949达78年，报纸属性包括民营、日系、国民党办和共产党办，为研究者提供了长时间、多角度的新闻资源，极具利用价值。此库虽然是原文影像版，但全文录入篇目和标题计1亿余字，可进行主题检索。而且爱如生庄严承诺，此库所收10种大报，将来只需补足差价，即可转为全文检索版。对于用户来说，正是进可攻、退可守，具有极好前瞻性的选择。希望国内外有更多的大学和研究机构成为爱如生晚清民国大报库的用户。

Good Mid-year- Stanford University Purchased Database of Chinese Historical Newspaper (1872-1949)

In mid-2017, good news keeps pouring in Erudition’s digital products: recently, Stanford University, a famous university in the United States, ordered the remote edition of Database of Chinese Historical Newspaper (1872-1949). Prior to this, Stanford University has purchased Database of Chinese Classics Ancient Books, Database of Chinese Local Records I and II and Database of Chinese Popular Literature I. With the purchase of Erudition Database of Chinese Historical Newspaper (1872-1949), the number of Erudition’s digital products owned by Stanford University has reached 4 databases and 5 collections.

Erudition collected 20 kinds of newspapers which are included in two collections. At present, the publication of the first collection includes 10 kinds of newspapers, including Database of Chinese Modern Periodicals ShenBao, DaGongBao, Minguo Daily, Shuntian Times, ChenZhongChenBao, Beijing News, Yishi Daily, Central Daily News, XinHuaRiBao, and XinZhongHuaBao, covering the news from 1872 to 1949. The newspapers were published by privately-run enterprises, Japanese Department, Kuomintang and Communist Party. It provides long-term and multi-angle news resources, which is of great use value. Although the database is an image version of the original text, the full text can be searched through topic retrieval with more than 100 million inputted words of the contents and titles. Moreover, Erudition solemnly promises that the database will receive 10 kinds of newspapers, and users only need to make up the price difference to use updated full-text search edition in the future. For users, it is a forward-looking choice. It is hoped that more universities and research institutions at home and abroad will become the users of Erudition Database of Chinese Historical Newspaper (1872-1949).
