2019年5月28日上午，德国马克斯普朗克科学史研究所（ Max Planck Institute for History of Science）第三部门所长薛凤教授到访北京爱如生数字化技术研究中心，受到刘俊文教授和爱如生国际交流部的热情接待。

位于柏林达勒姆附近的马克斯普朗克科学史研究所成立于1994年3月，隶属马克斯普朗克学会，主要致力于以理论为导向的科学史研究，通过跨学科比较和概括，力图构建科学的历史认识论。

薛凤教授向刘俊文教授介绍了该所最近对爱如生中国方志库进行的数据分析工作，提出研发相关专题索引库的构想，希望与爱如生展开进一步的合作。刘俊文教授表示，爱如生目前正处于从文献数据库制作到信息数据库研发的转变时期，非常关注并乐于参加数据分析和数据挖掘实验。双方议定，将尽快就爱如生与马克斯普朗克科学史研究所合作的具体项目和安排进行协商。

Professor Xue Feng from the Max Planck Institute for History of Science in Germany visited Erudition

On the morning of May 28, 2019, Professor Xue Feng, director of the third Department of the Max Planck Institute for History of Science in Germany, visited Beijing Erudition Digital Technology Research Center and was warmly received by Professor Liu Junwen and staff from Erudition International Exchange Department.

Located near Durham, Berlin, the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science was established in March 1994. Belonging to the Max Planck Society, the institute is mainly devoted to theoretical-oriented research on the history of science. Through interdisciplinary comparison and generalization, it attempts to construct a scientific epistemology of history.

Professor Xue introduced recent data analysis work on Erudition Database of Chinese Local Records to Professor Liu, and put forward the idea of developing related subject index database, hoping to further cooperate with Erudition. Professor Liu said that Erudition was now in the transition period from document database production to research and development of information database, and was very concerned about and willing to participate in data analysis and data mining experiments. The two sides agreed to consult on specific projects and arrangements for cooperation between Erudition and the Max Planck Institute for History of Science at an early date.
